The MRSA staff infection that is be found at a few schools, is a rash like staff infection that cannot be controlled by basic antibiotics. It is of the upmost importance that each athlete practices good & proper hygiene. Wash hands, do not share clothing , razors , towels. Wipe down equipment. Wipe down machines in weight room after use. Our maintanance crew is cleaning locker rooms every evening to make sure they are clean. Do not wear dirty clothing. Take it home & have it cleaned. Don't put mouth on water bottles. A few simple steps can help keep each athlete safe. If anyone finds a rash developing on his body they should let coaches know right away. We have not had any cases here at Stepinac.
