Leonard A. Cusumano Jr. a lifelong resident of Port Chester died October 2, 2007. He was 55 and was born May 30, 1952 in Port Chester to Leonard and Jerrie Archino Cusumano. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains. He was married November 3, 1979 to Geraldine Celestino. Mr. Cusumano for many years worked along side his father at L. Cusumano & Son Construction Company. For the past 19 years he has been the Building Inspector for the Village of Port Chester. Mr. Cusumano was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester, a member of the New York State Building Officials (NYSBOC), Capital Districts of Albany, International Code Council (ICC), Port Chester Old Timers Association and Stepinac Crusaders Men's Club. Most important to him was his involvement in youth sports. He was a basketball coach at Corpus Christi Youth Center, baseball coach for Port Chester Baseball and WBA Summer Baseball League. Mr. Cusumano is survived by his loving and devoted family. Wife, Geri Cusumano, sons Leonard A. Cusumano, III and Jason Cusumano all of Port Chester, NY, mother Jerrie Cusumano of Rye Brook, NY, and sister JoAnne Ambrosino and husband Jim of Port Chester, NY. He was loved by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends who all enjoyed his culinary treats. He was predeceased by his father Leonard A. Cusumano, Sr. and his brother Domenick Cusumano. Visitation will be 4-9PM on Friday October 5, 2007 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Saturday October 6, 2007 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY.
